N-Day: Sputnik 1
Scientists believe that October 4, 1957 was a pivotal date for the Nephilim who had been exiled from Earth for centuries. This date is now commonly referred to as N-Day due to the fact that the launch of the Russian Sputnik 1 satellite and its subsequent twenty-one day orbit in the upper atmosphere helped the Nephilim, who had been exiled and lost in the dark Coalsack nebula, navigate their way back to Earth.
The Nephilim had made scattered forays to Earth prior to this event, however the majority of these incursions were through random chance. Although the Nephilim had access to the Leng Gateways for many centuries, they did not have an efficient means to navigating these dimensional pathways except for a select few Nephilim Bamah highlord sorcerers such as King Maximon, his lover Hellrune, and the tribe of Nephilim Dalal demons known as the Huay Chivo who pledged allegiance to King Maximon.
King Maximon and Hellrune had traveled and charted the Leng Gateways for many years prior to the Great Flood and the Nephilim's exile from Earth by the Goddess Supreme. King Maximon one day contested Ha-Satan, the Grand Adversary, for the Nephilim throne. Maximon fought valliantly, but was killed in battle by Ha-Satan. Hellrune would become Ha-Satan's new consort, and eventually he would learn from her how to gain access to and safely navigate the mysterious Leng Gateways using various mystical artifacts that once belonged to King Maximon. As the Goddess Supreme set forth to destroy the Nephilim and make pure the bloodline of man once and for all, she called down the great deluge storms of destruction. The Nephilim escaped extinction when Ha-Satan opened a mystical portal and he and his evil brethren managed to flee to the dark Coalsack nebula.

Aware of the Nephilim's escape and survival, the Goddess Supreme saw fit to let them live since they were now removed from Earth and also separate from humanity. The Nephilim were now exiled to the Underworld, a barren decayed world in a parallel dimension in the dark Coalsack nebula. Having twice lost rebellions to the Goddess Supreme, Ha-Satan did not directly challenge the exile decry. Instead, he sought other ways to subtly influence his will on Earth women and men. The Goddess Supreme eventually tasked the Archangel Michael with locating and destroying the mystical artifacts that allowed Ha-Satan to navigate the Leng Gateways. Many of the artifacts were either destroyed or safely hidden away on Earth, ensuring that Ha-Satan and the Nephilim were trapped on the Underworld with no means to safely navigate the dark Leng Gateways which were frequently populated by other predatory beings - the Olde Ones - bizarre cosmic creatures that were more dangerous than themselves.
Things remained this way for centuries until Emperor Baphomet rebelled against Ha-Satan's rule of the Underworld. He and his consort Duke Vepar desired to return to Earth and take their revenge against humanity whom they saw as their lessors. Humanity's knowledge of science and technology increased during that time and in the mid 20th Century they slowly began to master spaceflight. On October 4, 1957, the Russian Federation launched Sputnik 1 - the world's first space satellite - from the Baikonur Cosmodrome located in southern Kazakhstan.
Upon launch, Sputnik 1 entered into geosynchronous orbit for 21 days where it brightly shined as it circled the Earth. It also helped return the Nephilim back to Earth, serving as a travelstone in the celestial skies that guided the exiled creatures back to their original home.
