Gtv Interviews Michael Miraula
Gtv here with another short interview segment with Michael Miraula who plays Director Gaston, one of three key scientists in the upcoming sci-fi/horror short-film, GRISLY. Along with him is Erica Ruiz, one of the make-up artists who will demonstrate the prosthetics that she'll be adding to his neck today.
See below for a transcript of the interview:
Hello there, Michael. Tell us about your role in GRISLY.
Michael Miraula: I play one of the doctors, the examining doctors of ACS (the Agency for Clandestine Services); and we basically have found these alien girls. And one is being interrogated, one we think is dead and we start examining her so we can potentially weaponize what she might have inside of her internally. And of course she's not dead. So she then goes rampant and she just tears everybody apart; she rips out my throat. So that's what we're doing today; we're doing a really extreme close-up of that shot, so that we can get it really nice and bloody for the audience... because that's what they love; they see really messy, gory, movie things. So that's what we're going to work on today.
The following video shows the application of the GRISLY makeup from one of the slasher scenes.
Wow, you're ready for prom.
Michael Miraula: Yeah, where is my corsage?
(to Erica) What has it been like working on GRISLY?
Erica Ruiz: Working on GRISLY? Pretty cool. I like it. Lot of gory stuff. The gorier the better.
Well, there goes my lunch. Thank you again Michael and Erica and we'll be seeing you both at the IFS Film Festival on Tuesday, May 27th.
